Christmas is the best time for spreading some kindness. Actually, the whole year is a good time, but Christmas is the time when one really feels like doing something nice for other people (or animals)!
I already saw some bloggers that take part in Blogmas suggest some nice things you can do. It’s amazing!
I thought I’ll also give my suggestions specifically adapted to the current situation. Here is a list of things you can do this Christmas from the comfort and safety of your sofa.
1. Buy someone coffee
You don’t even have to get out of your house for that. And your recipient can be anywhere in the world. How cool is that?
I just recently find out about two websites ko-fi and Buy Me Coffee that allows you to support your favorite creators and in case of Buy Me Coffee get access to their exclusive content! I really like the concept of both of these!
Find if you favorite bloggers/artists/youtubers use this services and buy them coffee so they can create even more amazing content!
2. Support a small business
Maybe your Christmas is already done and you feel like you feel like you bought enough for others and yourself. You can still make someone’s day. For like couple bucks!
There are plenty of artists on Etsy, Rebubble and other websites where they, for example, stickers with their drawings. It may really make a small artists day if you bought a sticker to put on your laptop or notebook. Also it’s nice to get something in your mailbox.
3. Donate things you don’t need anymore
Maybe this one requires a bit more moving (unless you have a donation box right outside your house like I do). Donate clothes, books, toys you don’t need anymore! It’s even better if you donate to organization that will later distribute these things for people that couldn’t afford them otherwise.
4. Donate to an organization
The world is your oyster when it comes to charity! Donate to families in need, foster kids, animal shelter or all of them! Best thing is that you can do it online.
5. Send someone flower bouquet or a small gift to someone you appreciate
I still hope someone is someday going to send me this box of macaroons. They’re just super cute! While I wait for my Christmas miracle, you order a box of macaroons (or anything else, like flowers) to someone you won’t be able to see this Christmas. Or someone you haven’t seen or talked to in a while. I’m sure it’d make anyone’s day.
6. Write nice comments or DM’s on social media
Find a few people that you appreciate on social media and write them a sincere comment! Or, even better I think, write them a private message with a few kind words. Appreciate them or their work. It only costs few minutes of your time but it can put a smile on someone’s face for the rest of the day.
So here you go! A few random acts of kindness you can do during the most wonderful time of the year. Make it even more wonderful.
What act of kindness are you going to choose for this Christmas? Let me know in the comments.
Be nice to each other love yourself and e-see you tomorrow!
